![]() Even though she took more precautions than I did as far as mask wearing etc. I came out negative and she was positive. 2 days before our flight my wife And I both took the hotel antigen test. All in all we enjoyed our time because we’re on vacation & you have to make the best of every situation. The waiters, bartenders & entertainment staff all did their best to please people. The hotel staff I will say was amazing and friendly. however the stench was overwhelming at times so even trying to relax on the beach was difficult. Unfortunately there was no ocean to enjoy due to extreme mountains of seaweed but that’s nature so can’t really fault the hotel. Considering the hotel was only operating at 40% I couldn’t imagine how packed it could get at 100%. The party pool with the swim up bar was very small so it got crowded quickly. Only bright side was our AC worked very well. Very old TV which was cracked, bed as hard as a rock, shower pressure was like pouring a bottle of water over you and the toilet was the same. The rooms were extremely outdated and small. So it seemed kind of pointless But that’s just my opinion. After 3pm we’re all switching to margaritas. & that’s something people would like to start their day with in this 90 degree heat. Since hot coffee & pastries are offered at the buffet & lobby bar the only unique thing they offer IS iced coffee. It would make more sense to open in the morning & close early. This is the only place you can get an iced coffee. Mike’s Cafe was good but opened from 3pm to 10pm which was disappointing. Every other restaurant was always closed so after a few days eating felt more like a chore since the options were limited. The next day it was practically charcoal. One day I’d ask for my steak well done and it would come out medium rare. The food quality was a bit of a hit or miss to be honest. The food was good however ever since then we experienced nothing but stomach cramps and the runs. The first night I ate at the Habachi restaurant along with other family members.
